New Hopes

Nilesh leaped through the opening “Yeah!” he yelled, “At last I have got whatever I am waiting for, the best ingredient of my life, the inspiration of my soul.”  The innocence face of Sikha reappeared in his mind and a limpid smile played across his lips.
He felt like he was soaring free in sky and his happiness knew no bounds, his feet moved faster towards the park.
Sikha was there, fixating her moisten eyes at the door waiting for him curiously. It was really hard for her to understand the snare of life. Recession had crippled their lives and despite having talents they were not getting hired by any company. She closed her eyes thinking what would be the decision of HR for this job ‘Will they get be hired?’
She had landed in this city along with Nilesh after finishing their college with having great expectation that this city would provide them a better stay and adjustment, but now when she glared at the current financial scenario, all of her budding hopes seemed shattered. She didn’t remember name of any company where they didn’t visit and everywhere she heard only one word “Sorry we have closed hiring, this is recession time.”
And this company was the last ray of their hopes. She didn’t know, if they were again rejected this time, what would be their future and a thick stream of tears rolled down on her cheeks.
She closed her eyes and plunged into the abyss of thought. Four year before, at very first day of her college, she met Nilesh and soon they realized that both were bounded together. Their friendship grew incredibly day by day and it was the day of Valentine, when Nilesh risked everything to say the true feeling of his heart in front of her. And that was the moment of great pleasure. For a fraction of second she became numb with purple face.
“I love you Sikha, will you be mine forever this way,”  Nilesh hold her very soft manicured hand.
Her heart thumped, eyes closed and lips trembled saying the most miracle world confessing her true love.
“Yes Nilesh, you are the only one who resides in the core part of my heart and you will be always forever, ” She took a deep breath looking at his face, “Of course I love you more than everything in this world.”
He cuddled her into his tight arms and felt her fresh intake breath on his face. A kind of undiscovered passion was driving them crazy to explore something more in each others. They started walking along the shore of lake holding their hand. Wind was blowing slowly ruffling their hair and sun was ready to sink in clouds.
“Sikha can I say something to you,” Nilesh gently stroked her face.
“Hmmm,” she peeped into his eyes the way she wanted to fathom the depth of her love inside.
“Will you love me always this way and care me like your best friend?”
“Of course Nilesh,” her tone had a kind of magical symphony.
He again hold her hand and pulled closer and she didn’t know how long they were on the shore of lake dreaming to have a wonderful future.
And now four year later when she came in this city she felt like she had became crippled and lifeless. Their parents were not in favour of their relation but it was their strong will which risked everything and now they were here, in quite unknown city, looking for any job that could provide them food and shelter and a ray of hope to move on the path of life. she felt a heavy stupor clouded in her mind. First time in her life she passed through this cruel phase of life and accepted the bitter reality of recession.
‘Is talent is not remedy for recession?’ she thought.
“Hey Sikha,” Called a very soothing voice and she came out of her reverie.
Nilesh was there standing in front of her having a very pleasing smile on his face.
“What happen Nilesh?” Her tone was skeptical.
He didn’t utter any word and sat closer to her. A fresh gust of breeze drove his surge stronger. He gently hold her hand.
“Again this time, what do you think?” His voice was firm and calm.
“I don’t think we would be ever get hired Nilesh,” She heaved a heavy breath, “This recession is worse than any natural disaster or bombarding.”
He sauntered more closer to her “This is a phase of life Sikha,” his hand gently ruffled her long hair, “And we should face it courageously rather losing our hopes.”
“But how long will life experiment us Nilesh?” Her voice seemed fainted.
“Hey,” he told, “Look into my eyes.” He paused, “Do you think our true love will let us lose this way?”
There was a kind of hope reflected for the first time in her eyes within those days and she rested her face on her broad chest hearing his uncontrolled heartbeat.
“If we really want to achieve something by our heart, mind and soul then entire universe conspires in our favour.” He philosophized having a very pleasing smile on his face.
“What?” She pinched his palms.
“True love always wins,” his tone was serious.
He slipped his hand into the pocket of his pant and scooped two folded paper out, her eyes were glaring him still in disbelief.
“Wooo, we have been selected,” he hooted handing her papers.
Her eyes were fixated at appointment letters. A thick stream of tears again rolled down on her soft cheeks with having fervor of success, love and passion. He forwarded his hand to wipe the tears. Blow of wind became crazy to make them mad for the undiscovered ocean of new budding hopes. She cuddled him into her soft arms. Their eyes closed to visualizing the moment of wonderful future, the future that was their dream. A new world was waiting for them to explore itself more.
